Great cables but I noticed they required a missing (very thin) washer/spacer not supplied before securing in place. Thankfully I had a couple that fit, one for each side

Answered by Grace G. / Fri, Oct 23take the 2 bolts out from end of tail gate pull it out some and take e-clip off the old cable bolt and replace new cable with new bolt and e-clip and stick end back in tail gate and put the 2 bolts in. I have a 1994 s-10 and that what I done to replace both of my cables.
