Tailgate cap is just as shown in illustrations. It fit the top of the tailgate just right, with about 1/8" gap at each end. It has only been installed a few days now, but the peel and stick tape appears to hold it in place properly.
The only minor issue I had was that this cap was purchase to replace a spoiler type of cap that was held on by screws. The screws hole fittings were slightly raised and this caused the new cap to not lay completely flat. I compensated for this by cutting out four ~1/2" sections of the adhesive where these fittings were. It lays almost flat now and looks fine.
