Not quite a direct fitTailgate Hinge, Help Series

Speed of delivery was excellent. However, the parts (tailgate hinges) were not completely a direct fit. The male part of the hinge was direct fit but the female part (on the tailgate itself) was not compatible with my 1998 K2500 Silverado. The original part has only one bolt hole whereas the Dorman part has two bolt holes and does not wrap around the bottom of the tailgate, as does the original. I was able to complete the repair by only using the male components but I will have to do some fabrication to use the new female component if/when the originals finally fail.
