Question: Hello. This is Thomas and I have a 2007 ford explorer sport trac V8. Recently, I encounter a continuous noise from the radiator fan when I turn on the engine whether I use the A/C or not the radiator fan keeps hoovering a loud noise so I turn the ignition off for a few minutes the noise stop therefore, does it mean that I have a thermostat issue? or the fan clutch issue? Could someone let me know before I buy the part. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.Thomas V. / Sep 08, 2020
Hello! Could your vehicle be low on coolant? Some vehicles have a feature that will turn their fan on high to avoid overheating if it is low on coolant. If the vehicle is not overheating, then your thermostat at the very least is not stock closed.
