Question: I see some grease under the robber boot. Do I have to add more grease after inserting the nipples?Daniel M. / Dec 07, 2023
Hi Daniel, I'm pleased to assist you. No, you do not need to add more grease after inserting the nipples. The grease under the rubber boot is protecting the ball joint from rust and corrosion. The nipples are there to allow you to add more grease in the future, if necessary. If the grease is dry or cracked, the boot is torn or damaged, or there is play in the ball joint, a replacement would be in order.
