The timing belt was tight, but not too tight, just about perfect. The tension bearing went in perfect (For those of you that work on bicycles this works the same as a derailer to keeep the belt tension tight). Replacing a timing belt, water pump, and thermostat is not your typical weekend mechanic job, but, we got through it in a day and a half. Once we got to the step where you install the timing belt, it was evident that the length was PERFECT. Three minor issues 1) the instructions suck; you definitely need to go to u-tube pages to figure out all the steps to do the job right. 2) There are quite a few markings on the belt. We had to count the teeth to figure out which markings applied to our vehicle. 3) Include a thermostat with the kit, as you will replace this if you are replacing the water pump. So will it last 100k miles? Only time will tell!
