My car is a 2021 BMW 740i xDrive Base, currently with 54,470 miles. I took it to the repair shop the day before yesterday for its first transmission fluid change. The old oil pan had a thick sludge buildup and some metal shavings; it seems I should have changed it earlier at 37,500 miles. The new oil pan is exactly the same as the original, and the transmission fluid used is ZF Life Guard Fluid 8, requiring only 6 liters—a perfect match and affordable. I'll definitely buy this again for the next oil change. Thank you.
