Metal impeller inside, rather than the plastic OEM.
Does not require the black rubber "donut" that the OEM uses.
Pump comes packaged with a metal gasket - no need to order one separately and spend an extra $25 like I did.
While you're in there, you might as well replace the thermostat.

Bought this water pump for my xj8 went on easy and so far so good. Only thing I will mention is that this pump does not require the o ring that the original had. I thought they had forgot to put one in the box so wasted time ordering a new one which I didn't need.
