Question: My window regulator has rivets that secure it in place how does yours securing in place with a bolt?Na777 / Sep 28, 2020
Hello! If you do not have access to the back side to install a nut and a bolt, then you would have to use a rivet as well.

Originally, mine were riveted into place. I drilled them out and replaced with bolts and lock nuts. You will want to make sure you get just the right size so there won't be extra bolt length sticking into your door panel and also use stainless steel so they won't rust.

I drilled out the rivets and replaced the rivets , but I work at a boat shop and own a nice rivet gun and have plenty of rivets around ....alot of folks just put bolts in where the rivets were.

I’m not sure what the plug was but I used it on a 1989 Ford F-150 and it was plug and play, hope that helps
