I used it in my boxster convertible and it does drop the window when I open open door. I think that comes from the car, not the regulator, but it does work. I didn't notice whether it was adjustable or not

I had it installed on my 2002 Boxster, and it is working well. The installer said it required a bit of effort to make it work, as comparred to a factory one which costs much more.

I have used these regulators on both the driver and passenger side and my windows drop with no issues.

Hi Ron, The plastic piece and the rivet is part of the installation hardware. We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions and diagram. My replacement unit did not come with a plastic piece and rivet, nor did I need them. Followed the instructions in the Bentley 996 manual (which makes no mention of the rivet and plastic piece) and everything fit perfectly. One thing I did do was to hold on to the unit I removed and I was glad I did. The cable had birdcaged, but the sliders and tracks were still good, so I used it as a reference for the initial set up of the adjustment screws in the new unit. As it turned out, one of the adjustment screws in the new unit had a slight bend in it which made it a bit hard to turn. I replaced it with an adjustment screw from the one I took out and that cured the problem. Great unit, even greater price!

The plastic piece is a stop that doesn't allow the window to go to far down on the Boxster. The stop is not needed for other models. The rivet is furnished to hold the plastic stop in place.
