Question: I have a 2006 X3 BMW. I took my car in for other work and when I get it back I can’t control windows or mirrors. They told me it was the switch and to order a new one but why would that happen? Is it just a coincidence or do you think they left the door open when raining? If you can't control the windows and mirror, the driver side main window switch is the part that most likely failed to function. Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Oct 11Yes check fuse/relay. if they are good get an electric meter and check for power at switch. If no power you have a broken wire. If you have power at the switch you have a bad switch. Don't just throw parts at it check for power at switch.
