Hi Hi Alan, I'm pleased to assist you. No, the dimmer switch in the column of a 1988 Chevrolet S10 does not regulate high/low beam choices. The headlight switch controls the high/low beam selection in the column. The dimmer switch regulates the brightness of the headlights.
