Replacing the actuator alone will likely not fix your issue. The actuator only controls the electronic locking and unlocking of the door, but your problem - having to manually lift the lever and slam the door to close it - sounds like a mechanical failure. That usually happens when the latch mechanism is worn out, broken, or misaligned. To properly fix the issue, you would need to replace the entire door latch assembly, not just the actuator.
