Question: It states as being for the front . will they work on double side door and back doors as well ?? 1996 e-250Paul B. / Dec 05, 2020
Hi Paul, This is basically not specifying front only(even our supplier's data sheet details), but it is common for the driver and passenger side door lock cylinder with keys. You can actually try to fit it if the hole diameter is the same and the rod mechanism hooks up fine to this door lock cylinders. Question: I cannot find door lock cylinders for my 2003 Mazda B2300 extended cab pickup anywhere, and I don't understand why. Someone must make them. Every parts store I have checked tells me that the same year Ford Ranger won't work on my 2003 B2300. Can you help me?Kim Taylor / Jan 14, 2022
Hi Kim, I'm glad to assist you. Unfortunately, we also don't have one available. We suggest checking the local part stores around your area or the nearest Mazda dealership directly on what they have available to offer you. I hope this helps and happy shopping.

Hey Kim , I believe the Ford Ranger ones will fit in the Mazda. Try it. If it doesn't fir return it. Or call around junkyards. One of them should have some. If not I'm sure some yard in America has them , search the web you'll find them. Good luck !!

On my 98 B4000 the only difference was the Mazda had a security switch on the end I just took the clip off removed the activator put on the old switch on it and reassembled the cylinder. Worked great?

Not sure if this helps but these worked out good to replace on 1998, E250. The originals were damaged from break in.

Question: Is this a not very handy capable job I can do? The garage says it will be too expensive for them to do.Davidk / Nov 22, 2021
Hi David, I'm glad to assist you. We do not have a specific step guide for a DIY install. But, generally, it is moderately easy. You have to remove, unscrew first, the interior door handle. Then, Pry out the door window switch carefully to detach it from the door panel. Remove socket connector of door switch. Then carefully pry off the edges of the door-panel-trim with a thin edged fiber mallet to release the pins. Remove the door panel. Detach the plastic insulation of the door and remove the lock for the door lock cylinder. Replace the cylinder and do the same reverse procedure to install all the removed parts carefully. Grab our sale price offer and click the link below to order today. I hope this helps. Happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/door-lock-cylinder/replacement/repf465302?can=CPJE1043

Very simple to do. Took a few minutes each side. Pull the forked tab out and the lock is released. Remove the locking rod from the back and pull it out.

Hi Peter, Yes, that would be the only option. You will have separate keys for the ignition and for the door locks.
