Question: Can these cylinders be re-keyed? Along with the door cylinders I am also purchasing an Ignition lock cylinder kit. The Ignition kit already comes with two keys. I'd like to use one key to open the doors and start the car.Jaime A. / Nov 02, 2021
Hi Jaime, I'm pleased to assist you. No. This is not the type of door lock cylinder that can be re-keyed. Upon checking, we currently do not have a door lock cylinder that can be re-keyed for this group of vehicles. Not to my knowledge. You may have to take it to a locksmith if it can possibly be rekeyed.

Question: Can the keys work for ignition keys as well?Melanie O. / Mar 02, 2024
Hi Melanie, I'm glad to assist you. No, it is for the door lock only. If you need the ones for the ignition, you need to order the ignition lock cylinder with keys as well. For us to double-check carefully and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete details of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, 2WD/4WD, and engine size). The VIN would be helpful. You can also call our parts specialist (for live assistance) on our toll-free number, 1-866-529-0412 (Mon to Sun).

Question: How does the rod attach to the back of the cylinder?John D. / Apr 20, 2022
Hello! We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/
