Question: Is this driveshaft adjustable in length? Mine is exactly 32.5 inches end to end fully collapsed but extend out about 3 inches more to fit the fixed length from the transfer case to the front differential. The point of sliding is where the two arrow is located on driveshaft. It has a in and out movement to compensate for the 4 inch lift installed and any back and forth movement from the suspension.
Thanks

I just got this drive, it fits alot of 4x4s. And as far as research I did this 1. This sale as a aftermarket, drive shaft. And it the cheapest, I ever found!
I run Rubicon Express 3.5 to 4" lift, for about 14 years stock drive shaft, and my finally broke, it was 31" 1/4"inch.
Then I found this, and it rocks!

Answered by paul A. / Sun, Nov 20Question: Will this fit my 96 xj with a 3 in lift?Artemis P. / Oct 26, 2020
Hi Luis,
This driveshaft is a stock replacement. If you have a high lift (3 inches) and a lot of suspension travel, you'll probably need a longer driveshaft. However, it's the slip yoke distance that's most important. The more distance in your slip yoke, the more that driveshaft can expand.
GG
Right but the more distance you have on your slip joke no more chances it is it's going to slip out or jam into your transfer case you need to get to slip yoke eliminator kit and then you let them know you're making model of your vehicle and the measurement of your last drive shaft for it and they will make you one and I went through everything that I could possibly do and that thing will not break I'll break the transfer case or the front end before that

I personally lubricated mine, some grease did come out that wasn't of the same color. But you never know if the grease used will last as long as something you may prefer.

Answered by Kyle T. / Tue, Feb 15Question: Will it fit a 99 WJ with 4inches of lift?Hunter A. / Feb 18, 2021
Hi Hunter,
This part does not fit the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I could not continue to do a recommendation for you since there are fit notes to be considered. Is the vehicle lifted on the front and rear? was it a body lift or suspension lift? I recommend preparing the VIN and call our Sales Department on telephone number 1-866-529-0412 or chat with them through the link below. They can better help you.

It will need a longer driveshaft when a lift kit has been installed. At least longer than a stock OEM part.

Answered by James K. / Sun, Feb 21Question: What kind of U joints are in the strive shaft?Tommy S. / Jul 13, 2022
Hi Tommy, I'm pleased to assist you. The cross and roller design is the most common type of driveshaft u-joint. It consists of four bearing caps, four needle roller bearings, a cross or journal, grease seals, and snap rings. The bearing caps are held stationary in the drive shaft yokes. If interested in this driveshaft assembly, click on the link below to order at 39% off the regular price today while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy shopping at Carparts.com!

It has three brute force precision U joints at least that’s what they’re called to Napa auto parts they are good and tough The ball kit on the back shaft where it swivels is the weakest point as long as you have your thrush an angle set up it won’t be an issue
