Finally 230,000 miles the first drive shaft replacement after ordering two and receiving the wrong ones from local parts stores decided to get this from carparts they matched with the vin number and after the easy install it took care of all the shaking.

Fit like a glove and seemed to be of good quality on 2004 WJ. Driven roughly 300 miles so far with no strange noises or vibrations so that is a good sign.

Hi Dan, I'm glad to assist you. You have to call your local Jeep/Dodge dealership, provide your complete VIN so they could tell you what specific front driveshaft was originally installed on your vehicle. There are actually 3 options of driveshaft with varying lengths. The dimensions we have are 33.5 inches, 33.875 inches, and a 21-inch driveshaft length, respectively. My best solution would be to identify your transfer case and axle go to a junk yard and measure shafts with the same transfer and axle. Also just looking at your setup. Some have a double u joint on each end. Some have a double c.v., mine has a cv and a U-joint. So narrows it down a bit.
