Door Handle replacementFront, Driver Or Passenger Side Exterior Door Handle, Black, Without Key Hole
4.0/5
I installed 4 of these on my Ford Explorer sport trac. It was a bit of a job to remove the inner door panels, drill out the rivets, etc. but got it done. It is also a little difficult to get the screws on there inside the door, especially the rear ones. I think one reason the OEM and these break the springs is because they are not adjusted correctly. If you have to pull way up on the handle and put pressure to trigger the door latch then they will break the springs. You need to adjust where the arm attaches inside the door to make the door pop open with little effort, quite a bit before the upper limit. There is a little plastic clasp inside there that holds the arm coming from the handle. You can unclasp it and move where it attaches to the arm for smooth operation.

the product looked to be of a high quality plastic, size an shape matched the oem part perfectly. problem was that after a week an a half of careful use, it resembled the original more than i care to mention. BROKEN. in the same place as before. the door poses no more resistance than the other three, an has no issue. like a said before, i was even careful. not pulling hard or wrecklessly on it an whata ya know..... JUNK! this review would have been on here back in the summer but the day it broke, the review page was down... for a while at that. no way this thing would have held up to a frozen winter morning.
