I was having issues starting my vehicle, and it would take up to three attempts of turning the key to start my 2003 Yukon. My mechanic stated the fuel pump was needing time to build up pressure to start the truck and that's why so many attempts were needed to be successful. A new fuel pump did the trick!

Unit works well and I feel confident in driving extended distances without worry.
There were no instructions at all in the shipment. On my 2001 Tahoe with 5.3L engine I had an original brown wire, but none on the replacement unit. After doing extensive Q&A with other websites and pros, I was able to hook on of the two black wires to that original brown wire from the Tahoe. I also had to trace the sending wires of the new unit to the old unit to determine which was the sending units ground (very key item....other wise fuel gauge does not work).

Very difficult job for this vehicle (2000 Chevy Tahoe) not because of the part but all the rusted parts and the way the pump was installed by the factory. I recommend having the job done by a garage.

I can't really rate the value for long term because it has only been in for a week or so. But, I saved over $100 from the local mechanic. He had no complaints about the installation, so I guess it installed easy. I am sure it will hold up and be fine. It is working great now.
