Bought this unit to replace the one on an assembly I replaced a few years ago. I recently bought one for a friend for her explorer, and was impressed by its quality and performance, so I decided to buy one to keep in reserve in case mine gave out again. It sure beats the over $300.00 the shop was going to charge her for a complete assembly. Yes, the labor is the same, but when you live on a tight budget this is a game changer.

Question: I have a 3.8 L 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse I just put a new battery everything on vehicle works the starter turns over batteries lights radio everything works except I cannot get it to fire over it seems to me that the only thing is missing is fuel so it thinking it could be either a relay or the fuel pump itself has anyone experienced this where it kicks over change in Jiu-Jitsu judge if his will not kick over I've even replaced a brand new brain that I purchased through Flagship one which does nothing but phrase and it's brand new and smashed for the 3.8 L V6 GT 3 door two-door with a hatchback I really need some help and if it is the wrong computer its warranty for life so I can send it back and I'll send you the correct but the one I got was for 06 and 07 all scope through all he flushes is supposed to work and be program so I don't think it's that I really don't but everything works sunroof lights doors radio everything?Todd E / Sep 03, 2020 / 1996 Jaguar XJ12Fuel Pump, Electric, Without Fuel Sending Unit
Hi Todd,
We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/ you can also check this other link https://www.carparts.com/blog/auto-repair/diy/

The very first thing you should do is CHECK. Find your fuel rail and unplug it. Place the hose in a bottle or some other container then turn the key to the run position and off again. If theres a good amount of gas in the bottle... say about a cup or more depending how long you keep the key in the run position.... Then fuel pump is not the issue. If no or not a good amount of fuel do the same test at the fuel filter. If no gas there, switch around the relays... assuming you have already checked all the fuses. If that does not work... look for the fuel cut off sensor. Most cars have them to cut the fuel incase of a crash. They can usually be reset by pushing a button on the switch itself. If all of that fails then do the dirty and pull the pump... but before you pull it check the wires going to it to make sure there is 12v getting to it with the key on. If no and you have done all the above you have a break in the wire. If yes them pump is bad.

Answered by RENAY M. / Thu, Sep 03If you believe it may be the fuel pump, I would start with checking that the fuel pump fuse has juice. If it does try running a hot wire from the battery to the pumps hot wire if 12 volts are not present. If fuel pump runs and you have adequate pressure it should start; if not your pump is bad.

Hi Dwayne, thank you for reaching out. No, this fits inside the tank. We do not have the fuel pump that you need. Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day.

Would you possibly be needing a fuel filter and not the pump?
