Hello! The third line is a vent for emissions/evap system.

There are three lines because it is a universal part which works in many applications.
Some cars have 3 lines: fuel line, fuel return line, and an air line which usually goes to a vacuum canister.
If you only have one line, just cap/plug off the other two and it will work great.
The fuel line is the largest of the 3 lines.

One line feeds the fuel pump another line is for return and the third line is for vapor relief

Yes, this is a guaranteed fit for the 1986 Chevrolet C10 Custom 6 Cyl 4.3L/5.0L and 5.7L engine, driver side fitment.

I used the same one for both sides, just make sure you place it in correctly with the float towards deep end.

Yes it works but after install mine I notice it's off on my vehicle it goes way past full and does not go all the way down to empty.
