Question: Why this part have 3 lines? On my only have 2 lines. So this part is only for fuel injection? Or for what is the 3 line? ThanksFredy V. / Jan 08, 2021
Hello! The third line is a vent for emissions/evap system.

There are three lines because it is a universal part which works in many applications. Some cars have 3 lines: fuel line, fuel return line, and an air line which usually goes to a vacuum canister. If you only have one line, just cap/plug off the other two and it will work great. The fuel line is the largest of the 3 lines.

One line feeds the fuel pump another line is for return and the third line is for vapor relief My truck isn't a fuel injected set up

I used the same one for both sides, just make sure you place it in correctly with the float towards deep end.

Question: If my 81 GMC 1500Sierra classic has a 2 port sending unit, will this one still work on my truck?/driverside gas tankRobert R. / Apr 26, 2023
Hi Robert, thank you for reaching out. No, this will not. This item is for models with three ports. Per checking, we don't have a fuel sending unit with 2 ports for the 1981 GMC 1500 Sierra Classic. Have a nice day.
