Hi Sam,
Since you are using an aftermarket shell, it is being shipped with the pre-drilled holes. Next, use screws to attach the billet grille to the grille surround. Normally, grilles are attached to the frame in 4 points, yet if you are dealing with the larger truck grilles, there may be more mounting points.

You can if want but in my opinión it would be better to not buy the chrome mesh one. I like the look of the chrome mesh and it stands out on its own and looks nice. Again, that’s my opinion but to answer your question yes you can.
