My 1999 Chevy S 10's dash dimmer rheostat had been problematic for some years and I had ignored it as fiddling with the dial always restored the dash lights...until Christmas Eve 2024. Driving back from my son's house, I had no dash lights and was unable to see the speedometer or gauges all the way home. This simply illustrates a corollary of Murphy's Law that whatever happens will be at a time that it's least desirable. So, Christmas morning, I checked YouTube and found videos that what I was experiencing was fairly common for my vintage of S 10. Next, I went to this website and ordered this one which works flawlessly. The major difficulty I had was the dash bezel to which this switch mounts as 25 years in the Florida heat has made the plastic rather brittle: all the posts securing this switch broke off the bezel, requiring repair with a liberal application of JB Weld. Well, it's all back together and the switch works so I'm a happy customer who simply wishes he'd replaced this switch several years ago when it started acting up. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Almost an exact fit, had to change one of the electrical connectors out with the old one but it was easy, new switch fixed the problem.
