Hi Isabella, I'm glad to assist you. No, you cannot simply swap the bulbs. The HID requires a ballast (igniter), and the bulb socket connector would be different from the halogen type. You will need a halogen to HID conversion kit to upgrade to an HID type of headlight. You can also consult your trusted local auto repair shop for this upgrade plan that you want. I hope this helps.
