For an 18 year old car the UV burned headlights are the most obvious evidence of aging. A new headlight assembly provides an obvious restored-like-new look...at an affordable cost.

Poor Quality, stay awayPassenger Side Headlight, Without Bulb, Halogen, Clear Lens, With Fog Light Holes

The headlights look nice, but the there is a subtle problem with the tabs that hold the bulb access doors. The tabs are mold wrong and break off when you try to open them, I was able to successfully remove the door on one headlight with the use of a heat gun, but the other one broke. Customer service replaced it, but i had to pay $10 for return shipping on a manufactures defect. The replacement headlight was worse than the first. I haven't tried to open it yet. I ended up buying a headlights form another vendor. These are going in the garbage.

The 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 4-piece headlight kit (KIT-041423-209) includes two headlight assemblies and two dual-filament halogen bulbs that serve both high and low beam functions. The note indicating “Headlight - With Fog Light” means the headlight housing includes a section or provision for a fog light, which is typical for Jetta GLS models. However, it does NOT mean a fog light bulb is included and would need to be purchased separately (if required). The dual C-8 filament bulbs included in the kit handle high beam and low beam and also serve as the daytime running lights (DRLs) if the vehicle is equipped with that feature. Therefore, you do not need to buy separate bulbs for high beams, low beams, or DRLs—only the fog light bulbs would be additional, if your Jetta uses them.
