From my past experience I suggest you buy both and change them both out. It’s pretty easy to do. Just make sure you seal on the outside where they are put together. I used 3M 5200 black to seal them. That way it stops the water and moisture from getting in

I bought two of these last year, RHS and LHS for my 2012 RAM 3500. I bought them to replace the original badly clouded plastic lenses. They were identical to the original OEM parts. John

Hi Charles, I'm glad to assist you. When you upgrade the halogen bulbs to a LED bulb, you will simply have to remove the lens from the housing to access the bulb mounting. It is best to refer you to a certified mechanic locally or you can also check DIY online video sharing websites for car parts installation. I hope this helps. It may not be conventional but I just used black garilla tape taking care to make sure that I did it same as you would with shingles starting at the bottom and sealed it up that way... I placed the dust cover so that one of the tabs held it in place then taped it up.... Should work pretty well.
