Product is easy to fit your hood, trunk, or even other locations needing a cooling off. Installed using urethane fastners. Not knowing much about this product, instructions would have been helpful. There are 2 sides with one side being lined. Having not installed this product before, I was unsure which side attached to the hood and which faces the engine. A simple sticker attached to product would be helpful for the beginner.

Answered by Dan G. / Wed, Mar 08The new hood insulation isnt moulded like the originals but once i cut it to the shape of my old one it pinned down good with all the pop in retainers (insulation did not come with the plastic pop in retainers)

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Dec 20Hi, you do need this in the older cars where the engines run hot and without it , it can burn the paint on both sides of the hood and you can still order this through J C Whitney and Co. Good Luck, ps, I just got one for my 1982 Dodge 400 and it's fantastic !!!
