Hi Eric, I'm glad to assist you. Replacing the ignition lock cylinder will give you a new key for the mechanical aspect of starting the car. This new key will still need programming for the transponder to work with the immobilizer (Dorman brand). It is guaranteed to fit the 2021-2023 Mazda 3 2.5L.
