I just installed these.
1. Review a video that you'll have to find elsewhere before you start.
2. Assuming that you attach the replacement to the car body first, to attach the other end to the hatch, I suggest you get use a prop on the hatch that will align it exactly to where you need to fasten the bolt. If you don't get it perfectly aligned, it's really easy to mess up the threads on the bolt and in the hatch.
After I did that, and repaired the threads a bit, this was easy peasy.
I should have done it a long time ago.

Fits doesn’t use torks either !! It’s a great fit on my car , before the lift gate shocks wouldn’t even hold the hatch now it holds up fine , it really wasn’t a pain to get on and off pretty simple :)
