Hi Ron, I'm glad to assist you. In most cases, it is not necessary to reset the ECM when installing a new mass airflow sensor. However, some vehicle models may benefit from an ECM reset to allow the system to recalibrate and adapt to the new sensor. I hope this helps, and we thank you for inquiring.
