The mirror is not hard to change at all, but the door panel can be a pain to get off and back on in some vehicles. In my 2013 Ford F-150 it was a breeze compared to how it used to be in older cars.

You must remove the door panel first. 2 8mm screws, one behind plastic cover behind the door handle, and one under the plastic cover at the bottom of the well of the door pull. 2 6mm screws on each side of rhe bottom of the door panel. After removing the screws, pull up on the entire panel and it will release from the door. You can then remove the nuts from the mirror, detach the wire harnes, attach the wire harnes to the new mirror, put the new mirror into place, attach with the nuts, and reassemble the door panel. Just know that you must align the tabd on the back side of the panel to the holes in the door. It only takes about 20 or 30 minutes for the whole process.

Honestly the price on this item was so affordable I took it to my mechanic and had them install it for $75. It was a perfect replacement for the OEM part

But, the heating element will not function as there is no wiring coming from the vehicle to make it function. It will fit. The connection will work and you will likely have a heated mirror (when operating rear defrost). My truck did not come with heated mirrors and now I have heated mirrors.

Unless your truck is a limited or higher end I doubt if it's heated, mine is a larrit If you have heated and cooled seats then your truck may have heated mirrors
