It’s your thermo sensor. Your new mirror didn’t include it. You have to pull the sensor from original and fit it to the new mirror.

Hi Craig, Replacing your car's side mirror is a pretty straightforward process although, on some vehicles, the door panel must be removed to access the mirror fasteners.

Very easy to install. Remove inside cover and bolts behind it. Make sure to open the door fully and remove the lower bolt. Unplug wire clip and reinstall.

Pretty easy to install on a 2016 f150... do not have to take door trim ( inside panels) off. half hour would probably get it done.

Easy. Pop off inside cover and unscrew 3 bolts. Will need deep socket to get them all. Pull out, replace, put bolts back in.
