Purchased for a 97 Dodge 3500. Overall a great aftermarket part. Some minor issues: 1) had to upgrade the fuse from a 15 amp to a 30 amp because when we adjusted the mirrors it blew the fuse, 2) the glass it self vibrates a lot, 3) both the driver side and passenger side will not adjust up. Other than that they look great! Will be testing with the trailer this weekend.

I've purchased them a couple times (broke one) They're not bad for the price, just be mindful not to accidentally pinch the electrical wire when tightening it down. I did that and it shorted. Easy fix, but wish there were instructions to warn about how/where to guide the wire properly.

Hi Butch, I'm glad to assist you. Yes. It is compatible with the 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Base. However, it is a powered type, not a manual mirror. We do not carry a manual type of direct-fit towing mirror for your truck.
