The star rating represents ambivalence, not diminished quality. The fact is that the mirror didn't fit my van. It's the right shape and size and has all of the promised features, the pigtail just doesn't fit into my wiring harness. My wiring harness has five wires in two triple courses; the mirror has two wires in a single triple course. Perhaps future listings can show the pigtail as well as the mirror?

Hi Tom, We don't do painting on our body parts and only ship them primed. We suggest having it painted locally so they can correctly match the shade of your paint.

My mechanic has not installed the mirrors yet, but they look the same color (black) and texture as the old mirrors so I do not plan to paint them. It turned out that I needed to send back what they had sent me because my original mirrors WERE heated ones and I ordered the non-heated ones. I was able to figure out they were heated when I found the original window sticker I had saved. The owner's manual did NOT help.

No. When the mirror came it looked just like the mirror on the passenger side. There is no need to paint.
