Could not have been worse.Help Series Oil Dipstick Tube - Direct Fit

I live in Mexico. The cost of the Dorman Oil Dipstick Funnel was 18.54 USD. The shipping to the border was approximately 3 USD. The Mexican sales tax and the courier service on down into Mexico was another 4.15 USD.
I watched the mechanic install the tube. No excessive force was used. The plastic was so brittle that it split at the base.The size was correct for the model. I was foolish to believe that the product shipped from from the USA would be superior and cheaper to what I could find in Mexico.
The mechanic went around the corner and purchase a new replacement. It was identical in appearance except for color The plastic was not brittle. For the locally purchased item I paid the equivalent of only 2.35 USD for a better product than the one for which I had already invested 25.69 USD.
Why bother with sending back for any warranty?
