Does not fit a 96 Dodge 1500 RAM with a 5.2 L engine! It is way too short! Needs to be 36 inches long, not 21 inches!

This product does not work for rear sump truckOil Dipstick - Chrome, Steel, Direct Fit, Sold Individually

A 21 inch dipstick does not work for Dodge trucks- they use a rear sump oil pan and require a dipstick at least 36 inches long. The part described works on earlier "LA" 273, 318, 340, and 360 engines with CENTER oil pan sumps (passenger cars). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AND EXPECT IT TO GIVE YOU ACCURATE OIL LEVEL READINGS in a TRUCK!!!
