Answered by Aldrin P. / Mon, Jul 05This part monitors your oil pressure and, if too low, turns on the oil pressure warning light on your dash. If your vehicle has started to leak oil, there is a good chance that this part is the culprit. I had a leaky 2010 Toyota Tundra which hasn't dripped a drop since I switched out this part.

Hi,
Depending on the engine construction. Typically, it's in the cylinder block of the engine, or in the oil filter housing as well. As some engine types, it can be found in the engine head.
