Hi Gary, I'm pleased to assist you. Technically, you don't have to program the ECU after replacing the O2 sensor. You can just drive it normally. Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Jan 11Once you change it out. There is no programing involved. you take a short drive, the sensor heats up and the vehicles computer will pick up the difference. If by chance it doesnt clear the yellow warning light, you will have to use a basic OBD code reader to clear all codes.
