Question: I have a 2008 cadillac dts 4.6l NHP. I have purchased a couple of types of 02 sensors. From wide band to narrow band. I clear the codes on the dash . But when i crank it in the morning, the check engine light comes back on. I thinking it could be a bad wire to the bank 1 sensor 1. I have changed cam sensor crankshaft position sensor. Almost all ignition parts. Coolant temperature switch. Fuel pressure sensor. Everything. What else could it be???Curley W. / Aug 08, 2024
Hi Curley, thanks for initiating contact. The fact that the light comes back primarily in the morning suggests a potential temperature-related issue or a component that's acting up when the engine is cold. In this case, there are a lot of potential gremlins and it is hard to diagnose without visual inspection of the vehicle. We suggest having the vehicle checked by a professional mechanic they have the tools and expertise to determine what needs to be replaced. Have a nice day!
