So far it's exceptional. Not much more you can expect as a customer, the part arrived early, neatly packaged with a feeling of quality. I did my part and it installed perfectly on my 07.5 Ram 3500. You will need to also invest in a new 8 rib pulley and install tool which can just be rented and returned when the job is done. I went with a Dorman pulley part #300-149. This is a great upgrade from the factory style pump that comes on this year trucks as the ZF bolt back is cross compatible for the 07.5 I have.

If it is a ZF pump, then Dorman 300-149 should fit as long as the shaft diameter is .663. The non-ZF pump that has the retainer spring has a smaller shaft and Dodge no longer supports that pump. Dorman does not make a pulley that fits the older pump.

Hi Antonio,
This occurs when pulleys become “tilted” because their shafts are not parallel. Worn bushings and bearings can allow rotating shafts to become cockeyed in their bores and affect the belt.

Answered by Grace G. / Mon, Mar 01Try taking off the reservoir and installing then install the reservoir last, I ran into a very tight fit when installing it on my 05 cummins. Also be sure that the belt has the length- with a/c vs not, obviously your running a/c but id replace the belt if there's no slack.
