Hi Jacqueline, I'm glad to assist you. It is with an Airmatic type of suspension (but without ADS). The Adaptive Damping System (ADS) can adjust suspension stiffness changes in a split second, to both smooth the ride and sharpen handling according to driving conditions. The shocks compensate for uneven surfaces even more effectively. In addition, they withstand significantly greater damping forces than standard passive shock absorbers.
