Question: Hello my name is Jeff Orlando I have a 2008 Cadillac DTS. I see the electronic strut is not available. My question is what is that small pod. Looking like a hose sticking out of it. What I'm trying to say is how does that convert over and not show inside the car that it's not connected.?Jeffrey O. / Jun 11, 2021
Hi Jeffrey, I'm glad to assist you. This MagneRide front strut assembly converts your vehicle's front electronic shocks to a much more dependable passive shock system. Arnott has designed this strut to plug directly into the vehicle's computer system without any alterations and will turn off dashboard suspension warning lights. I have included the 2 links of the install guide from Arnott resource catalog for you to see the details (https://arnottinfo.com/manuals/web/Reader/Manual_Data/SK-2952.xml and https://arnottinfo.com/manuals/SK-2952.pdf). Once you are ready to order, please click the link below to order this part today. You can change the quantity to 2 pieces for driver and passenger side once you add to cart. I hope this helps. Happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/shock-absorber-and-strut-assembly/arnott/arnsk2952?can=CPJE1043

The pod you see on the bottom of the strut is for electronic struts. I have put these on cars with this opinion and they work for what you need. Look on the glove box door or where there is a rpo sticker they are 3 digit codes for what that car was built with. Look up gm rpo codes and then it will tell you what it is and Look at the strut description for the matching code.
