Inferior steel? Poorly machined Part?Rear, Driver And Passenger Side Shock

When I was installing the new shocks, the top bolt hex socket had stripped out and was very difficult to install. I wouldn't have had such an issue with it, and simply accepted it as an unlucky break, but BOTH shocks had the same strip-out problem. I ended up having to use a flathead screwdriver bit jammed into the socket as I tightened the nylon lock nut down.
