Question: Why does it come with two speed sensors?Kyle M. / Oct 23, 2020
Hi Kyle, Those are sold as a pair(set of 2 pieces). We also have the option to get just 1 piece.

I assume the pair is identical and maybe the “AUTO TRANS OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR, Automatic Transaxle” is the same part as the “INPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR”? I replaced one when transmission was stuck in 2nd gear and transmission was back to normal operation. Few weeks later had same problem and replaced the other sensor. Was done at auto repair shop and not sure if the two sensors were identical? 2000 Stratus SE 2.4L Auto Transmission

I'm not sure why, I thought it would make my odometer work, it wasn't the solution

Question: Where is this port actually located and what does it function do…?? If the one I have now is BAD...BrotherSkillet / Apr 13, 2021
Hi Tony, I'm glad to help you out. Most vehicle speed sensors are mounted directly on the transmission or transaxle case. They send a varying frequency to a meter in the TCM, indicating vehicle speed. A gear located on the transmission's output shaft drives the sensor. The gear can be either machined and held in place by a bolt or fastened by a clip. I hope this helps, and you can click on the link below for direct ordering to take advantage of our ongoing sale. You need this party with two for an automatic transmission. If you have a manual transmission, it is a one piece replacement part but a different part from this item. Found that out the hard way, lol.

Question: Hello. I got a code P0716 on my dodge journy SE 2013 and reads input shaft speed sensor 1. Is the sensor the same one for both? I only found one right inder the air intake box. I will appreciate if I can get some information if this isnthe part I need for the code I got.Fernando G. / Jun 17, 2022
Hello, There are two speed sensors on your Dodge. The input speed sensor is the one right on top of the transmission, right under the air intake box. The output speed sensor is also located on top of the transmission but a little lower down, closer to the final drive housing. This set includes both the input and output speed sensors. Keep in mind, however, that a code only serves as a starting point for further diagnosis. P0716 indicates a problem with the ISS or its circuit, so we cannot guarantee that replacing the sensor will get rid of the code. We suggest getting a professional, in-person diagnosis for a definitive answer.

Question: I have a 3.5 liter high output motor on a 2002 dodge intrepid. Where are my sensors located ?John B. / Feb 04, 2024
Hi John, thank you for reaching out. The location of these speed sensors on a 2002 Dodge Intrepid is on the housing of the transmission. We recommend referring to a vehicle-specific repair manual for the diagram and the exact location of these parts.
