Short answer is NO. Depending on trim, your lamps came full LED, half LED (Red is LED, Backing is Not(white) or full incandescent bulb. Why? Because LED’s require a conversation module to function. If your trim cane with LED, The module is built in to the vehicle. If not it is built into the lap housing. So you can not buy those lamps as they are meany to be used on vehicles with the module built in. Which is why they need your trim level. You can, however, buy aftermarket FULL LED lamps and they will work as the module is built into them. If you ask me that’s the beat way to go because there are so many options out there to chose from and much cheaper then the half and half LED’s Hope that helps.

I put a set in my 2012 big horn. I had to get a conversion plug from retroshop you may have to do the same.

Question: Will this allow me to have LED tail lights without the truck (14 ram 1500 big horn 5.7L) bring up a short circuit error? Currently i replaced my OEM bulbs (757) with LED bulbs but truck is throwing an error.Zach W. / Oct 12, 2020
Hi Zach, You can put an LED bulb in place of the original 3057 bulb type for the tail light and reverse light bulb type 921. You should look up a LED sylvania 3057 zevo LED white bulb and a LED 921 bulb white LED for the reverse light.

Not sure, I have a 2014 ram 1500 & get an idiot light saying my driver side blinker is out but it works just fine. That was with the OEM tail light & stayed the same with these aftermarket lights. I replaced them because the lenses were cracked. Blinker works just fine, not concerned about the idiot light on the dash. It's probably looking for certain resistance for the standard bulbs.

I believe that the wire harness for the LED tail light is completely different than the wire harness on the truck without LED

The wiring harness is different and I found that you can't get an adapter. You have the buy the whole light unit with the right harness. The prices vary significantly depending on the harnesd

You don't. Only reverse light. Check out u tube video. Have to replace the whole tail light.

You don't, it is a sealed housing and the LED's within are not serviceable.

You can only replace the reverse bulbs. The others are individual LEDs.
