Question: does the tailgate handle for a 86 Toyota pickup come with the plastic clips that hold the rods in place.?Douglas M. / Dec 17, 2020
Hi Douglas, This part is guaranteed to fit the 1986 Toyota Pickup. This item does not come with installation hardware (clips). We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store.

no, so be careful taking off the old ones so dont break them. Or just order some new one while you can !

Question: Do I need clips to hold the rods in place?  Old truck with no handle on tailgate, only rods showing.Albert S. / May 21, 2020
my truck has plastic clips that snap into the handle and then the rods slide into those, then the plastic clip rotates to lock onto the rod.
