Hi Mick, I'm glad to assist you. The clips actually can be bought from any local car repair shops or ask some for free if they are willing to. There are excess of that on some auto repair shops actually. Or if you bought that from us last Sept only, you can call our Returns Department for a warranty claim since that clip should not break off easily within a year (it would just take time for you to wait..). Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Aug 19Yes the locking mechanism is separate from the handle I do recommended looking at YouTube videos before trying to replace yourself. There was a little bit of modification you have to do to get it in and out.
