I purchased this same handle oh about a year and half ago and it fit properly and has worked everytime without fail. It was my first purchase from this company and I was so pleased that have purchased other parts for my small fleet of 4 vehicles. To sum it up very well pleased with my purchases.

Hi Mark, Upon checking, the tailgate handle fits only for vehicles with non-locking type of tailgate. Based on your explanation, This is what you need.

Hi, I don't think I can help you either. Mine never had a lock, and neither does the replacement that is in these pictures. Maybe I don't understand your situation correctly. I guess I agree with the other person who answered. Your INDIVIDUAL tailgate maybe wasn't made to take a handle (WITH A LOCK) when it was manufactured. Good luck regardless!
