Perfect replacement! I was beginning to think the holes for the rods to go in were too small just about the time they went through. But that's probably the way you want it to make it last.
I wish I knew what the previous owner had done with the cover for the inside of the handle assembly it c could have found a replacement.

Hi Joe, I'm glad to assist you. You will need the following tools:
1. Socket and racket set - for removing bolts of the tailgate handle (8 or 10mm head bolt size)
2. Screwdriver - for removing the screws, if not bolts are used on the handle
3. Pliers - remove the clips on the rod mechanism of the handle
4. Torque wrench - for tightening the bolts of the tailgate handle

This is only the door handle with key hole provision. The key lock cylinder and keys are sold separately.

You reuse the lock cylinder from the original latch, which is what you want so you can use your original key. It's very easy to do.

Yes, a door/hatch/tailgate lock cylinder can be added later. When you buy a new lock cylinder, that would come with 2 keys as well.
