The usual signs of a bad or defective manual lever position sensor are the car not starting or moving, transmission going into a different gear than selected, and the vehicle going into limp mode. There might be an issue with the engine oil or it needs replacement. Still, we recommend your car be checked by a certified mechanic to be accurate on the diagnosis.
